Marina Resort Nelson Bay is situated in the heart of Nelson Bay overlooking the sparkling waters of Port Stephens. We are only a 45 minutes drive from Newcastle and 2 1/2 hours from Sydney ,the motel is perfectly situated to cater to the needs of all guests. Rated as a 3 1/2 star motel, with a total of 44 rooms covering 5 levels and all except ground floor have views of the bay, with the upper floors boasting spectacular panoramic views. All but our ground floor rooms have private balconies and 19 of our rooms have spas to complete your relaxing holiday. Our ground floor has disabled rooms and an outdoor terrace area over looking the pool. The internal lift goes to all floors including Ketch’s restaurant which offers great food and great views open for breakfast & dinner (closed Sunday night's). Relax and unwind in our outdoor pool and spa which also has a wading pool for the children. The motel is a short stroll to safe swimming beaches, shops and activities including our famous dolphin watch cruises. Please read checkin instructions below.

Reception times 7.30am to 7.30pm. Check in is anytime after 2pm. If you are arriving after 7.30pm please call the motel before 7pm on the day of arrival. Guests will be asked to supply credit card details on arrival to pay for any extras.

Things to do:
The Marina Resort welcomes you to relax and unwind by the outdoor pool and spa. The pool area also has a wading pool for the children. On the top floor is Ketch's Restaurant, which has great food and fantastic views across Port Stephens. Opened for breakfast and lunch, bookings are recommended. (Closed Sunday nights).
Local Attractions:
There are many choices of water activities - waterskiing, sailing, cruising, fishing, snorkelling, surfing, patrolled beaches, swimming, diving, boat hire, jet skis, kayaking, fishing charters, lawn bowls, dolphin & whale watching, arts/crafts, ferry trips to Tea Gardens (a great day out), cafes, restaurants, hotels, Hunter Valley vineyard tours. Also, a visit to Port Stephens is not complete without experiencing the incredible 30 km stretch of sand dunes and beach of Stockton Beach via Anna Bay. Enjoy by 4wd, horse, camel, by foot, or even a quad bike. There are also 4 golf courses for the enthusiast, bushwalks & numerous beaches and parks.
Getting There:
Marina Resort is accessible by car and coach. Port Stephens Coaches travel daily to Nelson Bay from Sydney leaving Central Station and stopping along the way. Travelling by car is an easy drive on the freeway. The directions are as follows: *Take the F3 Freeway north from Sydney *At the end of the freeway at the roundabout take the Pacific Highway towards Taree. *Go up over the Hexham Bridge,travel 1km and turn right to Nelson Bay on Tomago Road. *Follow to roundabout and turn left onto Nelson Bay Road. Follow this road through to Nelson Bay.
