Description:

Set on 500 acres of waterfront land at Port Stephens, NSW, Bulga Creek Bush Camp is a working farm with horse riding and farm activities for you to join if you wish.

With over 250 acres of native bush the property is full of wildlife including heaps of kangaroos. We are right on the water at Nth Arm Cove and have a salt water river running right through the property which is full of fish and great for water activities including boating, canoeing etc.

We also have a resort style swimming pool with a bush diving tower. Accommodation includes five basic bush style cabins with beds only plus an unlimited number of camping sites. The more adventurous can pitch a tent in the great outdoors. Have your own private setup wherever you like. Many great tent sites are available. We also have a nice amenities block with unlimited hot water showers and full flushing toilets for your convenience.

We endeavour to grow and eat our own organic produce when possible and produce our own farm fresh free range eggs.

All in all Bulga Creek Bush Camp is the real Australian Bush experience, with our own small rainforest. And with whale and dolphin watching, surfing and beach fishing close by we have something for everyone.

It’s a great place to stopover on your way up the coast. The bus stops nearby here at Karuah or The Rock Roadhouse and all buses heading up north to Queensland and south to Sydney go right past our gate. A free drop off and pick up is included to these bus stops. Contact us to let us know when you are arriving.

Things to do:

There are many things to do on the farm and in the area.

We have horse riding, canoes, mountain bikes, a swimming pool, pool table, table tennis, flying fox (zip wire), bush walking, heaps of farm animals, you can watch the Lucas mill in action cutting Australian hardwood, fishing, oystering and heaps more.

We have a free shuttle bus to take you to Tea Gardens or Hawks Nest Beach.

Local Attractions:

Port Stephens is famous for its dolphins and whales (whales in winter only).

If you like the water you can - swim, surf, dive, fish or go dolphin or whale watching or even 4x4 beach driving.

Or if you want to escape from the pace, just stay here and go bush walking, horse riding, mountain bike riding, relax, do a bit of bird watching or join in with the farming activities.

Getting There:

We are just off the Pacific Highway, just near the Tea Gardens turn off.

The United Petrol Station / Rock Roadhouse is 4.3 km from our front gate.

All the buses heading between Sydney and Qld run straight past our gate. Free pick up is available from the United Petrol Station (on the Highway) or the Mobil Petrol station in Karuah.

If coming by car:- You will find us on Gooreengi Rd which runs parallel to the Pacific Highway (it is the old Pacific Highway). You turn onto Gooreengi Rd at The United petrol Station coming from the North and travel 4.3km south. Our gate will be on the left.

If you are coming from Sydney you need to take the North Arm Cove exit after Karuah. Once on this road (Gooreengi Road) you will travel approx 2.5km and you will see our gate on the right hand side.
