Things to do:

The Retreat Port Stephens is a safe, private and enjoyable place for all families. No matter the size of your family or ages of the kids there is just so much on offer. Firstly take the kids straight out the back to the sand dunes for some energy burning sand boarding. You can sit at the top of the dune and the kids can go up and down a few times. After half an hour or so they are exhausted and want to come back for a swim in our in ground salt water swimming pool. The kids can have a swim while you sit back and relax on our sun chairs with a great book and take in the country air. Next to the swimming pool is the games room with Table tennis, pool table, fuse ball and stereo. We also have board games and card games available for hire at the office. Next is the play ground area with monkey bars, baby swing seat and 2 childrens seats. Open area next to this which is great for a games of soccer, cricket or boche. 2 Basket ball hoops around the park for a game of hoops. Bring along your push bikes as the kids can ride around the property and you can also ride on the many bike tracks that are around the Port Stephens area.

Local Attractions:

The are many choices of water activities - waterskiing, sailing, cruising, fishing, snorkelling, surfing, patrolled beaches, swimming, diving, boat hire, kayaking, fishing, fishing charters, golf, lawn bowls, dolphin & whale watching, arts/crafts, sand dunes safaris on quad bikes, ferry trips to Tea Gardens (a fantastic experience), cafes, restaurants, hotels, camel riding, Hunter Valley vineyard tours. Also, a visit to Port Stephens is not complete without experiencing the incredible 30 km stretch of sand dunes and beach of Stockton Beach via Anna Bay. Enjoy by 4wd, horse, camel, by foot, or even a quad bike. There are also 4 golf courses for the enthusiast, bushwalks & numerous dog friendly beaches and parks.

Getting There:

From Sydney drive north on the F3 and follow the signs to Port Stephens. We are on Nelson Bay Road between the 2 roundabouts at Anna Bay. From Newcastle airport we are 15 minutes drive or catch the Nelson Bay bus and get off at David Graham's Golf Complex and cross the road. The Retreat Port Stephens is located in a beautiful bushland setting, close to the beach at Anna Bay and only a few minutes drive from Nelson Bay. Our entrance is on the South Bound lane between the two Anna Bay roundabouts.
